Barah Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan
Barah valley, a beautiful village in Gilgit Baltistan. Barah valley is 100 KM distance from Skardu in the east. The valley is located on the bank of river Sheok increasing its fancy looks. Lot of foreign tourists comes here to see and enjoy the paradise on earth.
Apricot is the most popular fruit of the valley. From June to September this valley produces lot of fruit verities like Shehtoot, Khobani, Saib, Badaam, Akhrote, and much more.
Don’t forget to visit Ghondail the most greenest and pleasant part of the valley, it is took place on the Sheok River bank. Lot of Fountains are there and Trout Fishes are enjoying the coldest water in the vally.
There is Government fish Form in Barah, but many people started their own business in the Fishing area and earning money very handsomely.
In Barah Broq (30 KM from main town) there are two very big lakes called Tangpi So and Khenpi So, these are unseen for the world because too few people have seen these beautiful lakes.
The mountains of Barah Valley - literally 'many passes' - may not be as typically spectacular as some parts of the high Himalaya, and Karakorum for, as even the valleys are at an altitude of 3500 m, the summits are only 3000 m higher. Because it is desert there is little snow on them and they look like big brown hills, dry and dusty, with clusters of willows and desert roses along the streams. Yet for thousands of visitors Barah Valley is a completely magical place, remote, with delightful, gentle, ungrasping people.
